The LA Times' Tre'vell Anderson sat down with me (and some friends of mine) to talk about my experience being black and gay in Hollywood. I've been very fortunate, so this shouldn't be seen as "woe is me," but rather a wakeup call. Yes, we're seeing more black folks and other people of color on TV, and it's fantastic. But black gay folks need to see themselves, too. Tituss Burgess and Jussie Smollet are holding it down beautifully right now, but we need to do more.
